Happy Easter :)

Family,
I already told mom, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM! :) Can't believe we finally saw the day when you would turn 40, and I turn 20 next month. And also happy birthday to Preston, who is now 20 years old!! Woohoo! So glad we're all making it another year ;)

And also, Happy Easter! Easter is a huge deal here. EVERYBODY goes to church, and everybody wishes you a Happy Easter. We also were definitely not the only ones posting about Easter this week on Facebook. At the store, at their doorstep, on the street. I probably have mentioned it before, but it is so religious here. Everybody believes in God. It's nice though, they are a faithful group of people. How did you like the Because of Him video?? We LOVED it. It was the best tool we had this week with talking to people. Such an easy and quick way for people to see that we believe in Christ and for them to feel the Spirit. One great thing that happened was there was a less-active sister that we have tried to contact that always kinds of brushes us off and tells us "not now". But this time I said "can we please show you a quick video?" She was not so sure, but I said "It's only 2 minutes! And it's right here on my iPad!" So she agreed and then actually talked to us for a few minutes! Yay! I LOVE that video. Did you get to share it with anyone? Any thoughts on the video? I loved Easter though. All of the lessons at church were really uplifting. I thought a lot about the Resurrection and the Atonement this week and what it means to me. It really is a miracle that we can have that in our lives.

On Wednesday we had Zone Conference with President and Sister Craven. It was SO good! They asked us all to prepare a 5 minute talk on our thoughts on this General Conference, and they randomly pick people to give talks. We do this pretty much every Zone Conference. But I got picked this time, and it went great, I think! I basically talked about what I wrote in my email about getting on the right side of the fence. I related it to my sophomore year in high school when I didn't participate in ANYTHING, and even though I was in high school, I didn't get much out of it. Same thing with a mission- we can be on a mission and not fully participate and get anything out of it. So we can't be fence-sitters on our missions! Then I also sang "Come thou Fount" in Zone Conference with three other missionaries. Sister Craven talked about being healthy. It was my favorite talk ever. Haha, just kidding, there are so many great gospel talks I have heard on my mission, but I have just always loved health. She gave some super great advice. Like always eating protein in the morning instead of just carbs, and not eating after dinner. I have done both those things all week and I feel a lot better!! I am totally going to get in shape. Haha. Wishful thinking, maybe. But this week is bike week, so I'll be getting a lot of physical work. President Craven talked about the resurrection, and I learned a LOT. I just love Zone Conference.

I love being able to follow the Spirit on a mission. And in my whole life, but on my mission I get a lot of chances. We were in an area and there was a less-active in our plans, and when I pulled her up on the GPS, I saw she was in the area we were just previously in! I was like "Aww. I wish we had gone there when we were already there!" But we just felt like we should go there anyway. When we got there, she pulled up right then! So she wouldn't have been there if we had gone earlier. She hasn't been to church in a long time because of an illness and not very many people have stayed in contact with her. There are so many people in the world that need help. There's actually a lot of people in the world in general, I have come to see on my mission.

Meeting with our investigators hasn't gone so well this week. All of them were too busy. But we are hoping this week. Except that we won't have the car. But that's ok, we'll just get a lot of support from the members ;) I think (Jimmy) will get baptized pretty soon. And probably Aliyah and her boys. I get stressed when we don't have baptism dates because everyone in the mission talks about it so much, and with good reason! It's what we ultimately hope to have each of our investigators be able to do. But in the meantime, I am trying to stay positive no matter what is happening. We really are doing our best. I just worry that leaders will think I am slacking or something. I shouldn't worry so much about what other people think though. Only what the Lord thinks.

Not much else happened this week. Sister Farber got really sick Saturday, so we stayed inside except for dinner, when Greta, our investigator, took us to dinner. Even that was hard for her though! I guess there is something going around the mission... But I tried really hard to be productive! I actually came up with this great idea (well, I think it's great at least ;). Actually the Spirit helped me come up with it. Anyway. Elder Ballard in conference talked about families using Preach My Gospel in their homes and our Relief Society president (LOVE her) asked if we could think of something that might help the members to use PMG. So I thought about how before I prepared for a mission, I had no idea what was even in PMG or how I could use it. So I came up with a guide for members on how to use PMG, based on different unique circumstances. I will send the note I typed on my iPad.So that's what I did while she was sick. Sister Farber and I are doing great! We really get along well. She told me the other day that she hasn't enjoyed her mission and really loved the work until we became companions! It was like the best compliment ever! And the subject line of her email this week was "She's not just my companion. She's my best friend!" I just love her :) I took good care of her while she was sick. We watched the Joseph Smith movie and I rubbed her back :)

Well, another week has come and gone. This week will be my 10 MONTH MARK! Whoah. Didn't I just have my 9 month mark? This weekend we find out about transfers. Ugh. Transfers. We'll see. Sister Rendon is doing well! (Sam) is always posting stuff on facebook about the gospel. Apparently they were talking about Mormons in his school class and he raised his hand and told everyone that he was Mormon, and then people were asking him questions after class. So proud of him! (Bonnie), our investigator in Colfax, is finally going to come to church! (Dorothy) from Colfax messaged me on Facebook. She has not been doing too well as far as investigating. I have hopes for her though.

I love you all! I will talk to you in a few weeks on Skype! Maybe start thinking of some questions you want to ask or things you want to talk about? I will do the same :) It's the LAST phone call we have on my mission. the LAST ONE!!! Ugh. It's going by so fast! Although, I am pretty excited to see everyone again.

Love,
Sister Adams
