Transfers! Kylie's District
Well, in case anyone is wondering, it really does not smell good at all to hit a skunk with your car. We were driving down a windy road at night after dinner and there was something in the road that just looked like nothing, but before I could do anything, it ran across the road! I got a good enough look at it as I tried to not hit it to see that it was a SKUNK! But it went right under the wheels. We kind of were a little shaken up, but we just kept going. Didn't smell a thing.

Then we got to the church and got out of the car and it smelled SO BAD! We went in the church where the pinewood derby was going on and were telling Sister Stafford about it and she was like "No way! Oh that's so bad, it's going to smell forever!!" So she came out to see how it was, and she almost got knocked off her feet! Then one by one, Bishop Stafford, and the rest of the bishopric and the Elders came out and just about fell over from the smell. Haha. I was so embarrassed.
At the time I knew it would be funny later, but right then I just felt like everything in the world was going wrong. Hahaha. So we had to wash all of our clothes, wash our hair, wash everything. So it's starting to get better. It mostly just smells when you stand outside the car. Luckily we didn't get sprayed directly on ourselves. That would have been way worse. Phew. Sister Rendon and I decided we have all of the crazy mission things happen to us. I will come home with lots of stories, that's for sure.
Anyway!! So yes, I am being transferred! Not a surprise there. I have been here for 7 months! Can y'all believe that?? I am happy for a change. I have needed it. It has been super weird leaving though, because I feel like I am leaving home all over again!! I also kind of feel like I am going home from a mission, and starting another one. I guess in a way I am!
Nothing else too eventful this week! We met with (Dave) and he is doing great! He is totally getting baptized. We taught him the Plan of Salvation and he was so happy at the idea of a loving Heavenly Father rather than one that is harsh and always punishing. I agree :)

Brother Rottweiler, the Ward Mission Leader
Yesterday was great getting to say bye to everyone! Sad, but still really great to just reflect on the relationships I've built here. Bro. Rottweiler, the ward mission leader, said he was not happy I was leaving. He is so funny. So business-like, but also really funny, and really gets attached to people. Especially his missionaries :) they are planning the MTC still, and it is going to be SO GOOD. We are thinking of recording the fireside and sending it to the First Presidency ;)
Well, I have really been feeling like this next transfer is going to challenge and stretch me. It will be good! But I am a little nervous.
A great quote I read by Elder Richard G Scott "Just when all seems to be going right, challenges often come in multiple doses applied simultaneously. When those trials are not consequences of your disobedience, they are evidence that the Lord feels you are prepared to grow more (see Prov. 3:11-12). He therefore gives you experiences that stimulate growth, understanding, and compassion which polish you for your everlasting benefit. To get you from where you are to where He wants you to be requires a lot of stretching, and that generally entails discomfort and pain." I am going to be stretched! I just know it. Sister Rendon and I got priesthood blessings yesterday. And over and over again I was told in the blessing "Remember your Heavenly Father. Remember Him in the good times and in the bad. Remember Him in all you do."

Saying Goodbye to Sister Rendon, such a friend and help to the Sisters.
I love you all! Thank you so much for everything. My iPad just erased two paragraphs I just wrote. LAME. Haha. But basically, President Craven said that instead of having to leave a month early, he has the ability to have me go home a few weeks early. So like mid-December I am guessing :) he said we will decide on a date in the summer.
I will send lots of pictures a little later when I get to a computer!
